Shooting pigeon at night ?????????????

anybody tried this with pigeons or other birds

would be nice if anyone can tell me of experiances and give me some tips on this

its easy to shoot roosting birds at night even easier with a spotlight thats why its

illeagle to use a spotlight at night for birds :ph34r: you have to be sure to identify what your shooting

though cos the first time you hit something you shouldnt have mistake or no thats when

some twat will be watching eager to bust someones ass and put another black mark on

hunting in general. anti fckrs only go out shit stirring when theyve ran out of fckn drugs to

take so their pretty highly strung f**k all the good you do for wildlife & pest controll one silly mistake and

these b*****ds will nail your balls to the fence for it ! fckn pricks

when iv been lamping with bird and dog iv looked up and they f**k off as soon a lamp switched on mate

i have done a lot of pest control for farmers at night with the lamp on ferral pigeon ,this particular farmer was getting hit hard with them , we visited on numerous times with shotgun's in the daytime but couldnt make any impact on them , while on our way home we saw a couple drop into an old building , we saw the farmer and informed him this is probably there night time roost ,he contacted the owner and we got permision to go into what turned out to be an old school , when we enterd the building it was a right mess wits pigeon s**t all over the place after an hour or so we baged a large amount of ferrals , the following day the farmer informed us that he saw only acouple of ferrals all day , job done , this got us more permision from another farmer with the same problem ,again a visit with the lamp and job done ,not verry sporting but it was a cull afterall the farmer then gave us permision to thke rabbits from his land

Culling ferals at night is usually like shooting fish in a barrel. I do it a lot and it helps get other permission or keep the farmer sweet

Hi Trill, that,s my kinda comment... short, accurate... and very funny Seriously though, in many years of walking the woods night time the best we,ve ever done with pigeon is just over double figures in the one night, er, other birds are a lot easier to shoot .. from what i,m told of course! :11:

hi guys, i have tried red filters and even the "red dot" sights, but the birds will still spook, well, the woodies and maggies will spook. pheasants and ferals will sit there like muppets, even when undere 500,000 cp lamp!!! lol, but of course, shooting birds at night with an artificial light is illegal.... so dont do it when the leaves are off the trees we shoot an amount of quarry by just using their sillouette, forget the "moonlit" nights that people seem to think you need, its cloud you really want. Nice pink cloud. everything is visable, and i have no worries with quarry identification. when i was younger and keener i used to go out in the snowy nights, those were the best as the sky was amazing. this was a post i made some time ago......
